UPDATE
i downloaded revision 847 with the newest ULX svn.
When I join, i spawn. the ULX MOTD does not appear, i do not have superadmin or
admin, the ULX Menu does not work and i get a host of
ULX command called a nil value console errors.
in short:
no admin
no MOTD
no ULX Menu
apart from that.
everything appears to work

lachlan....
- try to remove ULX and look what happens
- is your server have fastdl? (means: is server variable sv_downloadurl set?)

And yes. FASTDL is set. I have tried disabling it. I have removed sections of
darkrp code with varying success
Apart from that, I have tried a few other things.

Really? Honestly, you think after 2 years of running a server, 1 year of lua
coding and scripting that i havent tried removing the addon at fault. im sorry
but stating such an obvious thing is of no value.
i appolagize for being blunt but i think i require a little more adanced help
maybe to do with re scripting dark rp to operate better with ULX.
thanks for trying to help, but in future, dont assume every person on the
internet is a joe 6 tooth. some of us know what we are talking about. i use the
term "some" lightly.

after further research, i need to add myself to both FAdmin and ULX in order to
fully utilise admin. i am working on a re write of FAdmin to remove the need to
do this. will commit it to the open dark rp repository when completed.

I am using DarkRP rev 837, ULX 162 (latest), ULib 187 (latest)
Adding someone in !any! group in ULX !automatically! grants this person FAdmin
access with same group name of cource, if FAdmin group with same name exist)
BUT only after reconnect

if you want to add yourself or anyone else to the admin/superadmin groups. you
need to add them both in DarkRP as well as in ULX.
there is more information on google
Found the fix, You have to add yourself to superadmin on both ULX and FAdmin,
or in our case, You have to create a group in Fadmin called owner, and add
yourself to it, and to ULX owner group.
For some reason FAdmin is overriding ulx's access functions, so basically.
Enter your rcon password,
then:
rcon ulx adduser "name" "group"
rcon FAdmin SetAccess "name" "group"
You may then use admin, 24/7.

Makes me think you do not have the latest revision of DarkRP, I posted that fix
on the ULX forums over a month ago, and falco has since fixed the compatibility
issues in FAdmin.
