Investigate if platform-client sends a 401 error back to Blip and Clamshell if browser looses internet connection, which should trigger the UI error message

FYI, I'll just mention it here - tideline is throwing a couple of TypeErrors (when you hover over the legends). The fix is actually on the viz unit tests branch, so I'm merging that today even half-finished, and I'll try to deploy to devel once I've also fixed the bug Brandon discovered.
