I would prefer if the main search feature on tidymodels.org included or perhaps emphasized searches on the vignettes within the tidymodels packages (over or perhaps in addition to the reference pages of functions).
As an example, when I search "classification" I get links to bivariate datasets in the modeldata package but what I want (more often) is examples of doing classification with tidymodels (e.g. parsnip vignette or workflows vignette would be preferred search results). (I opened this issue because I've made this mistake three times now... of forgetting this particular search is on just function reference pages.)
An example of a navbar that I find more intuitive in the tidyverse is that on dplyr's website. (Am a fan of adding swifttype like integration as mentioned in #43 .)
(I do like being able to search over the reference pages and also like the parsnip and recipes specific searches, just think the main search should steer people more towards vignettes -- which may be particularly useful for new users.)
Getting more comprehensive search up and running is something we have been considering! This is a long-term goal that will involve significant investment of either ⌛ or 💸 .
