[ROS2 Porting] Meeting minutes 2020/12/17

Remaining Issues:

• Sensing
  • Confirmed that it was able to launch lidars with all pointcloud preprocessor nodes working on the actual vehicle.
  • Found some remapping issues
  • We can merge current open PR and create another one to do minor fixes for easier review
• ROSBAG issues:
  • Issues were solved with the newest source code.

Current Blockers on CleanUp Tasks:

• Packages without C++ source codes
  • There’s no point applying linters
  • How about msgs?
  • Autoware.Auto does not have tests on msgs since we need to spend significant time for CI.
  • Just add the compile options to make them consistent with other packages, and ignore the actual .yaml/.msgs files.

Other topics:

• Kick-off meeting for cargo delivery ODD:
  • The agenda in Discourse is different from the one in Gitlab
  • We should ask Josh to clarify about the missing items.

• Vehicle testing:
  • Tier IV was able to test localization, path planning, control
  • Will upload video on Tier4-apex channel
  • Will test perception modules tomorrow
  • At least we will take rosbags so that we can test offline.
  • Where was the test coarse? -> Moricoro Park
• Apex engineers will be out from Dec. 23 - Jan. 4
• We should suspend this meeting and do further discussions in Software WG
  • We can arrange additional meetings if as necessary.
