Unable to connect to RDP server 127.0.0.1 #89

Hi, today I had problems viewing the presentation in a Lync meeting. Scenario: First it worked fine, but the the presenter lost his network connection and had to reconnect to the meeting. After that I could not see the presentation anymore, even after restarting Pidgin and reconnecting to the meeting. During the last attempt I ran pidgin in debug-mode collecting the log. Contact me and I will mail it to you. The package versions I'm using is in the attached file. version.txt

@hojthojt Is this a random failure or does it happen every time?

It does not happen every time, and I do not know how to reproduce it wit a 100% certainty, so I guess that makes it random. I haven't attended more than two meetings since I moved to this version. It happened in one of them.

I was unable to connect to a shared screen during a meeting with our customer... I found the same "The RDP connection failed to establish." in the logs. I will send the log to you Jakub by email.

Hi, just tried to connect to a meeting again. Same error message ("unable to connect..."). Fortunately I had started Pidgin in debug-mode so I got the log. I'll mail it to @xhaakon . Still on the same versions as the first time I got it. One difference this time was that I'm connected to the corporate network from home using VPN.

Looks like ICE hadn't been concluded yet by the time the initial packet was sent. Maybe the RDP packet got dropped somewhere in libnice. It would be interesting to try what happens if we wait for component 1 to switch state from connected to ready. Now we fire remmina when ICE selects a candidate pair, which however happens before the component reaches ready and the pair still may change during that period, causing weird behavior like this. Implementation will require changes in libpurple and Sipe.

A few weeks ago I started getting this for all my calls, were there any changes that may explain it?

It fails to join voice calls and get any presented content.

@cristim I've just checked that calls and presentations still work in my 16.04 VM. Are you sure you're running the latest PPA version?

I had the same error but I can reproduce it 100% It always happens when I connected through the cisco vpn
