not usable with this setting. Would it be possible to use 2 (or more) spaces instead of tab or something similar?

Is the issue you're running into something like the following?

----    these
--      align
--      correctly
+!----    this one does not

Now it seems to work, the way I expect it. I believe, I was wrong on my head. :)

Will using it at work for task tracking in combination with git.
