Also, referring to /data
or \data
suggests that these are absolute paths. I suggest using data/
, which highlights that these are directories, not files, but are proper relative paths.
Dear Miklos, thanks a lot for your contribution, which I have just merged and will deploy in a bit.
@andreantonacci, can you please review the site for consistency on this matter? I.e., Miklos updated a few pages, but we may have other sections that don't adhere to this convention yet. Thanks!
On a broader note, @korenmiklos, thanks for your look at our site. @andreantonacci joined our team today; he'll be assisting our team in making the site more accessible (frontend), and adding new content. among others, we're having a data release workflow in the pipeline that helps others to make available their datasets for public use - GDPR proof (while maintaining the confidentiality of their raw data, which may not be GDPR-compliant yet).
I would like to encourage you to be in touch here by opening up issues; we're happy to have some of our people tackle those.
Forward slash can be used as part of path names on three major platforms. With the exception of platform-specific setup instructions, replace backslash with forward slash every time path name examples are given.
