Students often struggle to create a compelling document for their projects and thesis that smoothly summarizes and combines their empirical and theoretical work. Usually, there is no time left as the submission deadline approaches, and carefully manually rendering a document becomes impossible.

Purpose

Quarto offers a powerful and very flexible new way of compiling reproducible research reports in markdown. It also supports the conversion into different document types via pandoc. Pandoc, in turn, allows specifying reference documents as templates. It would be great to have .docx, .pptx, .tex, and revealJS templates that are TiU style for students to use in their work.

Motivation

If such templates were available, it would for sure help students across all TiU schools to submit a report or thesis that is both formally correct and visually appealing.
