RIP RATTIC "For now I find this power gained is more unto a curse. My spirit burns with every spell and each irreverent verse. Despite this strength and knowledge earned, I have paid a heavy toll, Never should’ve traded power for my own immortal soul.”

hi guys

i'm talking in this day with other people: we want fork the project.

We are studying the apps and we planning a migration to django 1.11 for the end of december 2016 and start the new fork with a big update and so on.

Do you like the idea? Do you want join the project? We are setting up some tools to collaborate better...

if you like the idea tell me.

I'm new to programming, but I have been managing this system for a company I do consulting for a while. I would be happy to help where I can!

darkounet commented 7 years ago

@gionniboy I'm interested by your fork ;)

@gionniboy Sounds great, I may be able to find a bit of time to help

RasmusEdgar commented 7 years ago

@gionniboy [1], as I stated previously I am willing to chip in with the further development of Rattic. I have limited experience with Django, but I do have experience with web frameworks in general.

Br,

Rasmus

@Zemmiph0bia @smarthall you're the main developer of this project. Can we proceed with the fork? Ok, is an opensource project but i think is better try to speak together and, maybe, recover this project instead fork it. There are a lot of people who wants help... maybe we can coordinate with you? So... what i try to tell: maybe before the fork there are better option. What you say?

Thanks.

Has anyone created a forked repo, yet?

Eh1k0 commented 7 years ago

Hi, +1 with @gionniboy I think that forking this project would not be a good idea. I don't seen any answer from project maintainers, am I right ? I'm not a python + Django expert but I have good experience in programming, scripting, etc. So I would be happy to see this project revives. Regards
