Hello @Hibbo. Thanks for taking the time to report this issue. I need more information to investigate it further.

Hi, I am using Cinnamon as DE: cinnamon.x86_64 3.0.7-1.fc24 theme "Android Holo".

Its iGPU Intel HD Graphics 4400.

Gnome browser is not installed, whats the name of the package?

jiri-janousek commented 8 years ago

theme "Android Holo".

Does the issue persist if you select the default Cinnamon theme?

Gnome browser is not installed, whats the name of the package?

Probably epiphany.

Hibbo commented 8 years ago

No difference with standard theme.

I installed epiphany and can observe same CPU consumption:

Could you check out whether the issue happens in Nuvola Player 3.0.4 released a few days ago?

Hibbo commented 8 years ago

Yes, updated already, same result.

Frontwindow: ~90% CPU Backwindow: 30-40% CPU for WebKitWebProces process.

jiri-janousek commented 8 years ago

Yes, updated already, same result.

So it isn't the bug I thought it could be (tiliado/nuvolaplayer#245).

I installed epiphany and can observe same CPU consumption.

Since the issue occurs also in Epiphany, I suspect there might a bug in the WebKitGTK library. Could you report the issue upstream and post a link to the your bug report here? Thanks.

Webkit Bug ID https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=162264

jiri-janousek commented 8 years ago

Thanks @Hibbo.

jiri-janousek commented 7 years ago

Is the issue still reproducible with Nuvola 3.0.7 and a recent WebKitGTK?

jiri-janousek commented 7 years ago

A month without a response, closing.
