Ubuntu 14.04: WebKitGTK 2.8.5 packages have been uploaded to the Nuvola Player repository and Nuvola Player now uses this version instead the old packages from the official Ubuntu archive. this should fix various rendering and integration issues that happened only in Ubuntu 14.04. New features in Nuvola Player 3.1
Nuvola Player 3.1 is the current rolling series. New builds are constantly rolling out as new features are being developed. Initial milestone 3.1.0 was forked from release 3.0.0 on December 30th, 2015 and there have been XXX commits since then including XXX new feature visible to users.
Nuvola Player Package Repository
I build and published Nuvola Player 3.0 and 3.1 packages for Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus.
The repositories of the Nuvola Player 3.0 and 3.1 now contain the WebKitGTK 2.8.5 packages for Ubuntu 14.04 and Nuvola Player packages for this distribution have been rebuilt to use them instead of the old WebKitGTK packages provided by Ubuntu. This should fix all rendering/integration issues that had occurred only in Ubuntu 14.04.
Nuvola Player 3.0 and 3.1 packages Fedora 22 and 23 also depend on the webkitgtk4-plugin-process-gtk2 package, which is necessary for the Flash plugin to be detected.
