this is a write-up of what was kind of a bizarre experiment that i don't really think we should spend more time on right this moment. But i do want to send it around to some people to get reactions/responses. maybe we'll do something with it in the future?

i do think that the experiment gave me a lot of ideas on how we should improve tilt for multi-service apps, particularly around doing subdomains and auth and cluster setup locally
