Support for multiple JIRAs #14

Open serenity-valley opened 7 years ago

It would be awesome if we could configure multiple JIRAs. I have two that I work with pretty consistently, and while I love this workflow I'd also love to be able to set another hotkey for the other JIRA.

If I have time, I could look into developing this. I don't think it would be that dramatic of a change, but I haven't spent much time looking through the code.

Thanks for the suggestions @serenity-valley! I've encountered the same issue personally, too, since we sometimes have our own JIRA and the customer JIRA we work in. So far I have no good idea how to support multiple JIRAs while keeping the simplicity and speed to open the issues - I'm happy for concepts or ideas 👍

Possible idea:

visomedia commented 5 years ago

Hi timbru31, I would love to have this function and I have an idea: I use the Num-Block to open the tickets. The first typed character could be to set up the path, which jira is choosen.

Example: https://Company-Jira-A.atlassian.net/browse/A- for typing "+" before starting the number/issue-key https://Company-Jira-B.atlassian.net/browse/B- for typing "-" before starting the number/issue-key

I think that would be very easy and you don't need diffrent shortcuts.

For starting 2 to 4 diffrent characters would be enough, but you could think about a whole list.

Thanks for your short reply.

* allow multiple JIRA's to be configured in options page / TODO: dynamically add/remove lines to configure
* in the popup display a dropdown which JIRA should be used, remember the last choice (for shortcuts [ALT + K, ALT + Shift + K], too)

Because of the incredibly simple nature, the Quick JIRA extension can also be used to query for Octane defects numbers :) The option pages needs to have a label associated to the configured JIRA quicksearch.
