Gmail Desktop Version - Version: 3.0.0-alpha.37 (dev) You can find the version at Gmail Desktop → About Gmail Desktop. Make sure you're running the latest version to make sure the bug hasn't been fixed yet.

After installing, when entering username to login to gmail account, it gives an error saying the browser is not secure.

3. See error

No specific steps. Simply trying to login after installing.

Enable / Disable the User Agent Fix (reverse the current setting) and see if that makes a difference.

Three horizontal dots --> GMail Desktop --> Preferences --> User Agent --> Use User Agent Fix

Unchecking "Use User Agent Fix" fixed this issue for me in Windows on Version: 3.0.0-alpha.37 (dev)
