notification messages translated using sender's language preference

if my language is set to english and i send someone a message, the language of the notification they receive is dependent on MY language setting, not theirs. (obviously this only applies to the notification email boilerplate text, the message bodies themselves are never translated). the opposite should be the case (i.e. when i set my language to greek, my notifications should arrive in greek regardless of the prefs of the sender).
