I'm not sure what the expected behaviour is, but with my Nikon D800, clicking on the image to zoom into the live view key frame has no effect. The Focus feature of TimeLapse View might be quite useful for astrophotography if we able to zoom into the preview image on the phone app at a finger tap controlled position (where a bright star is visible) to the degree possible with the live view in the camera itself. This would be duplicate functionality, except that your keyframe setup allows for app control of the focus in what appears to be very fine step increments. I don't know how this fine focus control compares to focusing my 80-400 Nikkor lens manually, but the manual method is quite sensitive.
