Hi, I'm on 1.0.0-alpha.4. It works for me in WhatsApp so although it's a system thing it's probably worth it to hard code the key emojis instead of relying on the OS to render them natively HTH

This does sound like a system problem, could you send some screenshots? And it might be a good idea to hardcode them you are right

Thank you, it seems to be that your system font doesn't support all the emojis. I think I will hardcode a custom font for the keys themselves :)
