The documentation for the "new" Series1 .dck file (which I haven't yet found) mentions that they also did a version that started with the OS-64 ROM and modified that. I have no idea if that would be a hard thing to do.

In my tests, the OS-64 cartridge doesn't allow SAVE and LOAD, either in immediate execution or as part of a program. Can you test whether this happens with you as well?
