I don't know how their game worked (the website is down) but it sounds pretty simple - click on the map to send a pretend missile flying there (slowly).

In our version the game could be that you'd get an alert if you were within the blast radius of the impact site, and would have to physically move to avoid losing points.

Or maybe a non-violent version would be like tennis - if you stand underneath the landing site you can send the ball flying back towards another player, perhaps targeting a random site e.g. 200m from them.
