Could a mechanism be designed to clean old versions automatically. If a notebook is used and saved for many times in the long run, the saved versions for this notebook is far too many and become meaningless to trace back.

Could we design a mechanism to clean up old versions and keep a certain amount of latest versions or those versions within a certain period.
