Amazing news and thank you for all your work. I was hoping they would have just hired you directly. Thank you for all you did for us Tim, hours of fun!!

If you have been using Steam Cloud, the Valheim file listing is available here: https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorageapp/?appid=892970
@timkurvers A big thanks for keeping this up for so long :) Really appreciate it.
Took me a while but finally found out where the save folders are in the new mac version
It's /Users/YOUR_NAME/Library/Application Support/com.coffeestain.valheim
@timkurvers Thank you for all your amazing work on this. Also big thanks to the helpful community here. You've managed to bridge the long gap to the official release amazingly well!
To report for other people here looking to switch to the official Mac port now: The switch went well for me, it also picked my Steam Cloud saves without issues. Overall I think I've gained a couple of FPS on the M1 Pro.
There's just two little errors that I've run into so far:
Every time I try to download the game on steam on my mac it is telling me that it is zero bytes. All it does when I install is create an empty valheim folder at ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Valheim
. I have tried just about everything (clearing cache, deleting steam and steam all steam folders, restarting my computer, etc.) but it still isn't working. Anyone have any idea what is going on. I have been trying to fix this for an excessive amount of time.

Not entirely sure what this could be, but long shot: have you checked that no beta is active under Game Properties > Betas
? Alternatively, that it's trying to pull in the public test branch?
The official Valheim Discord has a #macs-bug-discussion
channel, perhaps worth a shot to get in touch with the official port devs, there: https://discord.com/channels/391142601740517377/1249850223476605009
Oh ya I was on the PTB branch on accident 🤦 Thanks a ton for your help!
@timkurvers Really appriciate your work!
IronGate has announced that the official macOS version is coming on June 10th! 🥳

For those of you who have used this unofficial port until now: thanks for the support! 🎉
This project will (hopefully) be completely superseded, but will be kept for archival purposes here on GitHub.
As we do not yet know whether this new incoming version will automatically pick up existing worlds and / or characters from this unofficial port: strongly recommend backing up your data before installing the new version.
