parse-citaiton.js was adapted from https://github.com/Zettlr/Citr/blob/master/lib/citr.ts but it seems that has now been archived and the new version is in https://github.com/Zettlr/Zettlr/blob/develop/source/common/util/extract-citations.ts.

Might be worth reviewing if any there are changes or improvements to port over.
