Possible mifare_desfire_free_mem bug?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Executing this example:
http://code.google.com/p/nfc-tools/source/browse/tags/libfreefare-0.3.2/examples
/mifare-desfire-info.c

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Empty mifare desfire 4k (Philips). Running this example, the output shows: free 
memory 4874bytes. 
4K is 4092 bytes....
Is is a bug? or there is extra memory for manage the data structure?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Ubuntu 11.10 x64, using libnfc 1.5.1 and libfreefare 0.3.2

Please provide any additional information below.
