timo-b-roettger commented 3 years ago

@dsquintana added a folder with logos and twitter banner (just a suggestions)

dsquintana commented 3 years ago

@troettge thanks! I'll add these once we publicly launch the account

dsquintana commented 3 years ago

@troettge is there a way to re-arrange the logo so it better fits a circle profile image?

timo-b-roettger commented 3 years ago

Lemme think about that and come up with a couple of suggestions @dsquintana What about this format (round_logo.png): https://github.com/troettge/RN-Norway/upload/main/logos

timo-b-roettger commented 3 years ago

@agboch @julienmayor @dsquintana

Here are two options for twitter logo atm. Vote with emojis

  1. (VOTE :blue_heart:) a round version that inverses the order of NOR and RN to actually read NORRN. Its round so fits the Twitter shape. Counter argument: It does not fit with the common network logo. (I also like that its dark background because it's freaking dark here in Norway). round_logo

  2. (VOTE :purple_heart:) Just the plain Logo that everybody has (except for UK). Counter argument, it reads RNNOR and not NORRN, which can be confusing. RN_Norway_white_bg

Comment if you have other suggestions

Thanks Timo - looks great!

My vote would go to :blue_heart: - but can we also add the text "Reproducibility Network"?

Thanks Timo - looks great!

My vote would go to 💙 - but can we also add the text "Reproducibility Network"?

You wouldn't be able to read it as the twitter logo, but for larger displays, we can add it of course.

agboch commented 3 years ago

I was really torn between these two but I think as much as it's important to show that we are a part of the same initiative (by similar websites etc) it would be useful to stand out on twitter - if all networks have very similar logos, it would be hard to distinguish them when we comment on each other's posts. So I will give my vote to the dark logo 💙
