Trivial changes to make the library working with the new generation of android extension lib, AndroidX (https://developer.android.com/jetpack/androidx/).

AFAIK, Google plans to migrate to AndroidX soon. Maybe it makes sense to release separate versions of the lib for android.support and AndroidX users until both are in active use.
