[FR] Scan for m3u playlists #421

This would be very useful, since for example the player on my PC saves the playlists inside my music directory, which is then synced to my phone with Syncthing. I would have automatic access to playlists on whatever device I'm on. It would also be nice to be able to access playlists created with Shuttle on my PC.

One way to go about this, would be to implement two settings:

  1. Scan music directory for playlists
  2. Save playlists to music directory

Number two is already possible - you can use the overflow button on a playlist an press 'export as m3u'.

Thanks for the tip, I think the best way to do it right now is to create the playlists on shuttle and export them so I can access them on my PC :+1:

I second this request, and would be willing to try and implement it. I have the same syncthing setup, but I guess any type of sync would present the same problem. @timusus what is your setup if I may ask ? Do you have your playlists just in your app, and is there some synchronization with a PC?

I noticed my playlists got imported at some point, but Shuttle doesn't seem to give info about the library rescan interval and I haven't figured out what to expect. Can you give me a pointer about where Shuttle populates its playlists from ?
