Anyone have a good pairing for 

growth
decay

as in "exponential growth" or "exponential decay"?

similar pairing:

birth
death

but they have a different connotation (e.g., birth is binary, and growth is continuous).

Reasonable option:

rise
fall

This is pretty good. "Exponential growth" -> "Exponential rise" "Exponential decay" -> "Exponential falk"

"Exponential decline" seems OK to my ears but "exponential incline" seems maybe odd?

Or maybe...?

Nice!!! I agree that an "exponential incline" sounds odd. "Exponential expansion" has an annoying alliteration, but in general expansion/reduction is an amazing pairing.
