Working with maps on a large monitor I've noticed the layout doesn't make the most efficient use of the vertical screen area available. It would be great if the work area could be expanded so less zooming/panning was required to place control points.

Thanks, this is a good idea. I think enabling a drag control to make it bigger would work well here.

Try resizing your browser with the Show, Crop, Rectify or Preview tabs open. I'd love to get your feedback and would be happy to submit a PR if you'd like to pull the change into the core.
