Is this project still being maintain by @tinalatif? Love this project and how people are contributing to it :D there a lot pull a pull requests that haven't been merge since a long while. Also seeing that @wjramos is helping a lot with the icons design and request (great job man) and also to all the others that are contributing.

Has anyone heard from her? Maybe creating a GitHub organization could help? (just an idea, i would be willing to help ect)

Thanks @mknrls,

I think that's a great idea, @tinalatif's most recent activity is back in December, and I've had no communication with her so I'm not sure of the project's current status.

I love this project, and think it's one of the higher quality minimal application icon sets out there.

@wjramos so i created the organization https://github.com/flaticns and already forked the flat.icns repo and webiste repo. I will added you also as owner so you can also accept pull request ect. We will still need to add all the icons pull requests from this repo to the new one. Let me know if have ideas ect :D I should also add @tinalatif so that could help her out, its her work after all and we are just helpers.

@tinalatif what your thoughs on this?

tinalatif commented 9 years ago

Hi! Still alive! Long story short, I moved countries and started working full-time, and it took a while to adjust to everything. Good news: things have mostly settled and I want to start working on this project again (funny timing - this has been on my mind for a few days now since there's been some mysterious reignited "public interest" in the project). Just merged nearly all outstanding pull requests, still one more to manually merge (great work, @wjramos, everything looks awesome!)

Honestly, I'm not totally comfortable with transferring the repo to the organization, and it seems redundant to have an active main repo and an active fork in the org. Sorry for disappearing for a while, but I can promise to be more active in maintaining this project and merging contributions

happy you're back. :) no worry i underatand. As for the organization i might delete it or find other use for it.

wjramos commented 9 years ago

Welcome back @tinalatif! Great to hear you still want to be involved!

As for the organization, it might be useful for community-based review for new contributions before issuing pull requests to make @tinalatif's life easier

mknrls commented 9 years ago

@wjramos that seems like a good idea but how would we make this work with the current repos setup?

willrstern commented 9 years ago

@tinalatif I may have been part of the cause of that re-ignition...I featured the project in a video a few days back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERNASc-ZcpY

It's a great project you guys!

mknrls commented 9 years ago

@willrstern nice to see here man, great fan of your vids. that video pretty much brought me here lol Didn't know about this project till you featured it on your channel and now im trying to help out:)

willrstern commented 9 years ago

@mknrls Thanks! Awesome to see people working on it to take it forward.

wjramos commented 9 years ago

@mknrls I'm not really sure the best way to approach that, actually

mknrls commented 9 years ago

@tinalatif @wjramos what do you think of using Trello to organize ideas, backlog, releases and more ? And Scrollback or Gitter to to engage with the community?

wjramos commented 9 years ago

@mknrls I'm up for it

tinalatif commented 9 years ago

@willrstern must be it - thanks for the support!

@mknrls Could be an interesting idea, we could give it a shot
