Hey Matt,

First of all, nice work on the maven plugin! I've been using it for the past
couple months and it rocks!

With respect to this issue, I don't think it's fixed. I do see version 1.8.2 of
appengine-maven-plugin in maven central. But for some reason that has not fixed
the issue. Using versions 1.8.1 and earlier work fine. I created a maven app
engine project from scratch using
"com.google.appengine.archetypes:guestbook-archetype" and changed the version
to 1.8.2 and had the same issue. I also tried to see if for some reason the
uploaded pom files for the plugin were incorrect since the error is "Failed to
read artifact descriptor", but the changes seem straightforward for 1.8.2.
Maybe you can take another look?

Right. Maven central has 1.8.2. But for some reason there is a "Failed to read
artifact descriptor for com.google.appengine:appengine-maven-plugin:jar:1.8.2"
error being returned. I'm guessing some meta-data for 1.8.2 (only) on maven
central is incorrect. But I'm not sure exactly what the issue is.

Hi Everyone,

I am having the same, prefix 'appengine' problem, but only when trying to
upload the app to the gae servers. In localhost, it works fine. I tried
different versions (1.8.1, 1.9.7) with same results.
Appreciate your help.
