On laggy connections, it's helpful to enter what you intend into a EditText
box and then send it after you're done.

This would also be handy for users who connect to, say, MUDs, where a local echo
isn't always available.

I agree with this one as I use connectbot to connect to a friend's talker which 
has no local echo support

The added benefit of having autocomplete would be a huge time saver since I 
have fat fingers and am always backspacing my typos.
