We hereby express our intent to archive https://github.com/google/tink by the end of Q1, 2024 (March 31st, 2024). The repository will be marked as read-only and no further updates will be made to it.
Background and motivation
We have split Tink into multiple, more focused repositories and migrated to tink-crypto. This allows us to be more agile in releasing and managing these libraries.
Timeline
We aim to archive google/tink by the end of Q1 2024 (March 31st, 2024). No release has been made from google/tink since v1.7.0 (Aug 10, 2022).
Operational risks and alternatives for developers
Developers and projects will still have access to the Tink master branch, but no support will be provided after March 31st, 2024. We encourage developers to use the newly supported libraries in tink-crypto.
