Updating causes TinyPilot system logs to reset #607

Description

A customer reported that in their update from TinyPilot Pro 2.1.0 to 2.1.2, the TinyPilot systemd logs disappeared for everything pre-2.1.2. They shared their logs, and I confirmed that nothing was available prior to 2.1.2.

Although this happened on Pro, the update paths on Pro and Community are largely identical, so I suspect this affects the Community edition as well.

What's the behavior that you expect?

TinyPilot system logs continue across version-to-version updates.

What's happening instead?

When the customer queried logs, the tinypilot logs didn't appear for anything before the update.

What are the steps to reproduce this behavior?

  1. Install TinyPilot Pro 2.1.0
  2. Go to System > Update
  3. Complete update
  4. Go to System > View Logs

I'm not able to reproduce this. I updated and the logs are all still there.
