Need comments on what type of functionality to ahve here in addition to stock CNR recipe-based functionality. Sockets? Other?
After thinking alot about the crafting system that you have setup, that it might be best to allow all classes to use some form of crafting.
For example the following classes would be best for
Wizards = Enchanting Priests = Alchemy Bards = Poisons Dune Traders = Scribe is scribe one? if not then something else
The point is that it would be nice if we could break the crafting system up into different areas of crafting and a sign different ones to different classes and or only allow players to pick from one based on their class. Maybe give each class a few to pick from but they can only pick one While allowing the Dune Trader class to pick more then one.
We can do all that pretty easily. I'll look at modify the CNR setup to limit crafts by class. Any other limits? For example, the crafting system is level-based (you receive tradeskill xp and adventuring/game xp). The tradeskill xp will eventually increase your tradeskill level, allowing you to make more advanced recipes more easily. The standard max is 20 levels, but we can change that, or modfy the xp curve, if desired.
Need a custom crafting system based on Dune Trader/merchants. A plug-in version of CNR currently exists and can be modified, but that might not be the best answer for this requirements. We'll have to get additional details from the writers/lorekeepers.
