Confusingly:

That is, exactly the opposite as for the spindle.

@TobiasKletter Is there any chance the we could agree on a more consistent terminology? I think also readers of our publication would be confused. My proposal still is:

"Longest DNA axis" was meant to be "DNA_Length" (= "DNA lateral Extent")

@tischi I'm still in favour for this new terminology, but so far my attempts to establish these have been futile. :) I will try to raise this again.
