Discord login works but all channels and DMs result in "Messages failed to load" #21

Issue tracker is ONLY used for reporting bugs. New features should be discussed on our Discord server.

After loading Discord through Ultraviolet, I am unable to load messages in any channel, DM, or group chat, and the error in the title shows. I have checked Discord's official status page and no issues are shown. I am able to log in and load other data, such as profile pictures, and I can even see how many unread messages I have, but I cannot load the contents of any channel.

Expected Behavior

Discord through Ultraviolet should display messages in channels, DMs, and group chats without issue.

Current Behavior

Loading messages always fails with "Messages failed to load". The JS console shows an error code of 429 (too many requests) when attempting to load messages.

  1. Log in to and open Discord.
  2. Open any channel, DM, or group chat.

This happens to me too, the only fix I know is to restart your computer.
