What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install thunderbird-esteid package under ubuntu 10.10
2. restart thunderbird
3. check add-on manager
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect to see esteid plugin in the plugin manager & icon in the lower
right corner. Neither is present.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Kubuntu 10.10, amd64
Please provide any additional information below.
The problem is caused by the fact that thunderbird package now uses versioned
lib directories. So the extension symlink should be created in the
/usr/lib/thunderbird-[VERSION]/extensions/ instead of the
/usr/lib/thunderbird/extensions/ directory (see
packages/debian/trunk/esteid-browser-plugin/debian/thunderbird-esteid.links).
