Esteid Firefox plugin does not work after upgrading Ubuntu from 11.04 to 11.10 #171

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Upgrade Ubuntu from 11.04 to 11.10
2. Go to https://id.swedbank.ee/private
3. Log in using id card

What is the expected output? What do you see instead
It should ideally open the window where I can enter my PIN 1 and after that it 
should let me log in completely.

Instead I get error  message: "Kasutajatunnus/püsiparool on sisestamata!"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 1.3.2 on Ubuntu 11.10

Please provide any additional information below.
I autoremoved and re-installed these packages and restarted all the system, but 
these activities did not solve the problem.

I exactly followed the instructions given at 
http://code.google.com/p/esteid/wiki/Ubuntu to re-install necessary packages 
after I autoremoved them all.

Sounds like a problem with opensc or some lower layer. Do you get any errors 
running the following commands? Also, what version of opensc do you have?

opensc-tool -l     # list readers
pkcs15-tool -c     # list available certificates
pkcs15-tool -r 01  # read first certificate

These commands seem to work just fine.

Checking version:

martin@martin-laptop:~$ opensc-tool -i
opensc 0.12.1 [gcc  4.6.1]
Enabled features: zlib openssl pcsc(/lib/libpcsclite.so.1)

And, by the way, the small icon on the lower right corner of the browser 
(indicating EstEID plugin 1.3.2) has white cross on the red background on it. 
Although if I open Firefox, under tools->plugins I can't see no indication if 
anything was out of order.

Do you use 64-bit Ubuntu? There is a discussion about it in 
http://www.pingviin.org/fpost68219.html#68219. If you can try the updated 
packages and give feedback, it may help to solve the problem faster, if it's 
not already solved with the update.

kuidas ma saaksin selle paranduse tehtud mul mõistus otsas. peale upgrademist 
muutus id haldusvahend nimodi et kui avasin oli ainult valge aken. lisaks ei 
tuvastanud enam id kaardi lugejat. esialgu võtsin tarkvarakeskusest estid 
mingi jura mis oli ingliskeelne. ja enne selle eemaldamist võtsin id.ee kaudu 
juhised kuda terminalis installida see õige värk ja kui see oli tehtud 
üritasin kustutada selle ingliskeelse jura ära ja siis tekkis see error ja 
nüüd midagi ei toimi.

kuidas pühkida arvuti idkaardi riismetest täielikult puhtaks k.a need mis 
enne update olid ???
