Preference panes cannot be unlocked in OS X 10.8 after using ID card #189

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connect card reader and insert ID card
2. Open the browser (Firefox or Safari)
3. Use ID card to login on some site

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

System should work as it worked before using the card - however no preference
panes cannot be unlocked after that as authentication dialog does not appear.
Only known and really working resolution is to restart the system. Issue is
partly covered here -> https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3248969

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Product itself is from latest version of installer for OS X i.e.
'ID-card_installer_2_8_1.dmg'. Operating system is OS X 10.8. I cannot test
this issue on 10.7 as there is no simple way to downgrade for that, but it
seems to be obvious, that the problem exists there too.

Please provide any additional information below.

As it shows in Apple's discussion site, there are two possible "workarounds" to
this - one is killing securityd process, but there are side-effects, for which
I have not find an easy cure. Other one is (possibly) enabling the root user,
but this might again have some unwanted consequences and should not be the
right way.

Whether the problem is in the ID card software or is it the bug in OS X itself,
is another thing to find out...
