I'm using this PHP libraries http://code.google.com/p/solr-php-client/downloads/list build 5/04/11.

And using this example "Listing 8. A sample PHP application to connect to, load, and query a Solr index" in http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/opensource/library/os-php-apachesolr/

Y put in /var/www and the example return "Solr service not responding."

¿What i can do?

With Reuters demo no problem.
