2 years ago send commits and branches (and benchmarks parameters) that should be compared to marcel, he can run the benchmarks for us.
best case, we can prepare everything for marcel by Friday (latest: Sunday) evening and message him on slack.

overhead analysis -> 5% would be considered considerable overhead and non-negligiblie -> possible follow-up in this case: provide option to enable/disable tracking (new flag?). tracking should be possible in both debug and release builds
