At the tail end of 2017 I visited Costa Rica with some friends for two weeks.
We started on the Pacific coast, surfing in Jaco. I am not much of a surfer, but it is the first time I stood up on a wave. Pretty sweet.
After a few days of beach hangs, we traveled inland to the Arenal rainforest. Hit up some hot springs, zip lines, and saw lots of cool jungle plants.
Then we made it to the Caribbean coast for the new year. Delicious cuisine, relaxing beaches, and more incredible jungle flora and fauna.
Finally we made it to San Jose for a day or two before our flights, just beating that year's volcanic tantrums. Pura vida!
