Xbox 360 controller wont work with latest proton launch option #311

Not sure if this is the place for this but, when launching a game with latest proton option, my xbox 360 controller does not get recognized.

Running a game directly from my files app works perfectly.

Any idea on why?

EDIT- Actually any game ran with a wine option wont detect my xbox 360 controller. Is it something with the prefixes? If I change the prefix location to my home prefix then it works fine.

Running Wine 4.17 Latest proton option in Gamehub GameHub Version: 0.14.2-4693bf5-dev Branch: dev Commit: 4693bf508267feff52e0ac7205b80796f1330a75

Could you elaborate, @Hedronmx? I'm having the same problem, but I have no idea how to do what you describe.

My default wine prefix is /home/carlos/.wine If I change it in the settings as in the image, my controllers work flawlessly

If gaemhub creates the prefix like this image

Then my controllers dont work.

Is your controller working with Proton when you are using Steam?

Yes i play halo mcc with my xbox one controller using proton

Another question: was it working with an old Proton version in Github?

I never tried proton from github. I always used either Gamehub (Never got controller working) or from steam which does work

Works via Steam here, too, but not GameHub.

Define old version? None which GameHub currently exposes have worked for me.

Personally, I don't know enough about Proton internals enough to find the root cause of this issue. Sorry :cry:

I am also having this issue. Controllers don't work on games installed through GameHub using Proton. If I run a game through Wine in GameHub controllers work fine. They also work just fine on games in Steam.
