Unable to install zencoding in Geany #324

What steps will reproduce the problem?

When the installation of zencoding as per the instructions from Github there is 
a
"line 2609: `LT_INIT(disable-static)" error. I first found this in Ubuntu 
10.10, and then, i switched to 11.10 and tried but still the same, I tried it 
on Xubuntu 10.10 and 11.10, and still I got this same error. 

It would be really helpful if the devs would check the necessary scripts so 
that this installation would run without a hitch. 

Zencoding is a really awesome plugin, I use it for Notepad++ on windows, I 
really wanted this to work in Geany in a Linux environment. 

Also, if possible, it would be really helpful if some would a much clear 
(screenshot based, if possible) tutorial for this installation. Or package it 
for distros.

P.S.: I have included a screenshot of the xubuntu terminal. the error is 4th
