custom themes

The default visual theme for chsk charts is defined in package @chsk/core, and package @chsk/themes provides some customizations. Currently, both the default theme and the customizations are rudimentary. It would be great to improve and to expand them in order to create beautiful charts suitable for a variety of use cases.

Contributions to @chsk/themes would be welcome, for example:

• custom color schemes, e.g. with distinctive palettes, or for specific accessibility needs;
• custom style settings, e.g. to reflect subject-specific conventions;
• examples for the theme documation pages to showcase existing/new features;
• other improvements to the storybook documentation site.

Contributions can be credited in various ways:

• all contributions will be acknowledged in release notes;
• substantial segments merged into @chsk/themes can include authorship notes in the source code and on the documentation pages;
• if you would like to share your work but prefer not to merge into the chsk repository, we can set up links to content in your own repository.
