物体の表面振動の単眼映像から、物体の不均質な材料特性（ヤング率、密度）を推定する。形状は既知前提。固定された形状のもとでは、物体の材料特性がその動きを決定すると主張。従来よりも遥かに安価に物体の動きをシミュレートしたり非破壊で欠陥の有無を判定するのに有効。
