Network Drive Setup #11

Added External Hard drive to the network on the computer with CIT - 0049458

Follow these steps to allow specific folder/drive and require some username and password.

To install and run properly

sudo apt install system-config-samba
sudo touch /etc/libuser.conf
sudo system-config-samba

Configuration

After running system-config-samba, Preferences > Samba Users > Add User. Unix Username: Specify username on system Windows Username: Any username Password: Specify some password

Next, add a samba share and specify the directory to be shared, check readable and writable, go to the Access tab and allow the specified user that you made.
