### Notes
GOES-R is a satellite series/array which collects data about Earth and Space weather. Keep an eye on which version/number of GOES-R you are using. The ones for our domain are GOES-R/GOES 16.
The instrumentation suite we care about is the Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI), and thus we need ABI datasets. The raw data from the ABI is then processed into a data product for specific purposes. For rainfall and precipitation its the Rainfall Rate Quantitative Precipitation Estimation (RRQPE). Scan Sectors are subets of the full (world wide) image. F gives you full disk, C gives CONUS, (Continental USA). For Puerto Rico use F, for Caribou Maine, use C.
