Hi,
I am using the MTE very often for recording GPX-tracks. That's perfect as
long as I don't want to call someone. If I want to call someone I have to
terminate MTE make call and start again. Of course during the time
terminated MTE cannot record the track.

Is there a possiblity to send MTE to background? On my Nokia phone there is
a countdown apllication which goes to background and showing only one line
on the screen.

This feature would really help me.

what is the model of your phone? All S40-phones has a very limited task control 
functions available to users. In fact only S60 platform has a Task Manager and 
allows user to switch between applications.
