Downloaded the efi and set up the com.apple.recovery.boot folder for the installer. Booted to the recovery menu.
As expected from the install guide, touchpad isn't working, but neither is the touchscreen. A secondary USB mouse isn't working either.

Not working with release 18 either. Looked through the past issues and tried disabling SSDT-DTPD.aml, didn't work either.
Have you tried this one? Should be one of the more stable ones @GoodestUsername

Which ones this one? Don't see a mention of versions in the comment. I tried 18.1 and 18 so far. EDIT: Bios version 1.28 @tlefko
@GoodestUsername here you go, didn't attach from the email lol. Version 1.2.1 (sorry the naming is a little random so i had to check)
if this doesn't work, we will create custom.
Still not working. Tried updating bios to 1.37 and then using this version again and touchscreen is still unresponsive. @tlefko
Ok, I'll check it out. is usb mouse / keyboard ok?

No, the usb mouse I tried didn't work either. The built in keyboard worked for language select prompt. But I haven't gotten past the select screen into install screen.
You mentioned something about the touchscreen should work because of "the way the installer handles Kext loading but because the touchscreen is being loaded via usb and the keyboard in a different method" in the install guide. Can you elaborate a bit more? I also wanna work on this if your busy.
Thank you!
Hey @GoodestUsername! I just have a few exams coming up right now but I’m pretty sure this issue has axtually been resolved within some the previous issues marked as closed. In a few days though, I’ll be free to work on it. Basically, the installer is a lot more closed from macos so it’s harder to load in kernel extensions from an outside source not built into the installer.

Seems like issue #38 had the same issue. Unfortunately that was closed without a follow up on how to solve it. :(
@GoodestUsername hey, I believe it is because he resolved the issue. Would you mind sending me your machine specs and the current EFI folder you tried so I can modify it?
don’t worry, we will figure it out :)

Hi, sorry for the late reply.
Matebook x pro 2018 liteon ssd mx 150 i7 8550U bios 1.37 baseboard V M14 System SKU C128 The current EFI is just the same as the default one in the latest release. @tlefko
@tlefko
@GoodestUsername, I am sorry for the delay, had a lot of personal things come up. you still interested in fixing this?

Yeah, absolutely! edit: @tlefko
Weighing in here - could this be due to what you mentioned in issue #44 that the touchscreen doesn’t work by default unless DTPD is disabled and that is set to Enabled by default in the latest EFI?
However, in response to that very issue I’ve found that my touchscreen is working with the latest EFI, despite DTPD being enabled. Since I have a new crack on my screen, I’d really like to disable it and was hoping for some advice on that. I’ve tried setting DTPD to both Enabled and Disabled and it seems to work in both cases.
@rohirrim27 @GoodestUsername hey guys, i am so so sorry for being AWOL.
I had one of the most insane years and was in the hospital for quite a bit, and just a ton of personal stuff and all that. had to sort out schooling and stuff too just given the amount of time i was incapacitated for.
I DO WANT TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE PROJECT and this is a big passion project of mine
I apolagize for the extremely long period of inactivity and i look forward to getting back to work.
please update me on the status of both of these issues and i will begin creating files for testing.
thanks guys
@tlefko Sorry to hear that man. Yeah I definitely want to continue, also sorry for being late to respond. Nothing idfferent from when we last spoke. What information do I need to send you?
@tlefko
@GoodestUsername hey, so i am actually just developing everythign from the ground up for the new macOS
so don't need the testing files
want to completely rework everything to be as optimized as possible

@tlefko I'm having the same problem, I get to the Ventura installation screen, and I can select the language using arrow keys and spacebar but the touchscreen or trackpad doesn't work. I can get to Disk Utility using Tab and Space but after that I'm stuck since I can't navigate anywhere. External keyboards and mice don't work either. Any solutions?
